Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Anesthetist), Anesthesia Care

Veterans Health Administration is hiring an Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Anesthetist) in Fort Meade, SD.

What you’ll do:

• Evaluate patients before surgery, review their health history, and develop a safe anesthesia plan for each procedure.
• Administer anesthesia and monitor breathing, heart rate, and other vital signs throughout surgery and recovery.
• Work with surgeons and operating room teams to adjust care, manage pain, and support patients as they wake from anesthesia.

What you need:

• A graduate degree in nurse anesthesia, current registered nurse licensure, and certification as a nurse anesthetist.
• Sharp attention to detail, steady judgment in high-pressure situations, and clear teamwork and communication skills.

Pay and schedule: $192,634 – $279,261 per year, full-time and permanent.
