Maintenance Mechanic, Facility Maintenance

Veterans Health Administration is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in West Roxbury, MA.

What you’ll do:

• Inspect building systems and equipment to find faults, then carry out repairs that keep facilities safe and running.
• Fix and replace worn parts in motors, controls, and plumbing systems, following blueprints and manufacturer guidance.
• Travel between VA campuses and clinics as needed, set work priorities, and check finished jobs against required standards.

What you need:

• Hands-on maintenance or repair experience and the ability to work with tools, measuring instruments, and technical instructions with limited supervision.
• A valid driver’s license and a practical, safety-minded approach to working in varied building spaces and conditions.

Pay and schedule: $37.68 – $43.96 per hour, full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
