Social Worker, Mental Health Services

Veterans Health Administration is hiring a Social Worker in Fargo, ND.

What you’ll do:

• Meet with Veterans to assess mental health needs, set treatment goals, and provide counseling and support for individuals, families, and groups.
• Connect Veterans with health care, housing, benefits, and community services, and coordinate care with medical teams and outside providers.
• Respond to crises, keep careful case notes, and help Veterans build practical plans for recovery, daily living, and long-term well-being.

What you need:

• A master’s degree in social work from an accredited school, plus the required licensure or eligibility for licensure in social work.
• Strong listening and communication skills, sound judgment in sensitive situations, and the ability to work well with diverse Veterans and care teams.

Pay and schedule: $61,722 – $97,087 per year, full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
